Lunatique

Translating a meditation of the New Moon’s dark void into a working concept led by instincts and subconscious imagery, Naisu open the gates for figures with unresolved gestures, allegorical creatures, symbols and duality between yearning and catharsis.

The body of work incorporates a renewal of childlike experiences, using mixed art mediums to make muddy marks while also examines emotionally charged themes such as eroticism and religious ecstasy.

Made with explorative and freeing process, the works were presented as artifacts that tell a story of what it might look like to re-birth oneself into the inevitable next phase while being in the dark, hopeful place of the new moon.
