Pariyanart Saransate (Naisu, b. 1991) is an artist examining the Western art canon through a subversive lens. Her manga-informed, gestural nude figuration reinterprets classical composition in raw strokes, holding transgression and tenderness, the profane and the sacred in unresolved tension.

Appearing from the subconscious and bodily sensation, the figures and symbols are given form through movement of graphite and watercolor, while pastel and charcoal press violent imprints into their surroundings. With decisiveness, each painting is revealed as an artifact of focused energy and will.

Created by a marginal hand, the work reexamines the order of image-making — what stories the bodies tell, authored by whom and for whom.

Alongside her paintings, she incorporates devotional symbols and baroque silhouette to create adornment objects such as clothing and accessories as extensions of her vision.

She lives and works between Bangkok and Songkhla, Thailand.
